The cause of a car fire in St Ives on Saturday night (November 18) has been confirmed. 

A crew from Huntingdon was called to the fire on Marley Road in St Ives at 9:41pm. 

A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters arrived to find a car well alight.  

“Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish the fire before returning to their station by 10.30pm. 

“The cause of the fire was accidental.”
