Three Huntingdonshire wedding businesses have been shortlisted in The Wedding Industry Awards 2024 for the East of England region.

Lily Francis Bridal, Ambers Bakes and Cakes and Piggy Rose Beauty have all been nominated in the regional finals.

Lily Francis Bridal, based in Ellington and owned by Michelle Tinsley, has been nominated for two awards: ‘best bridal retailer (less than four years)’ and ‘best newcomer’.

The Hunts Post:

Having opened in December 2021, Lily Francis Bridal has gone from strength to strength, expanding their bridalwear collection and hosting regular designer events from some of the best British bridalwear designers.

“Being local, we love collaborating together on events and shoots, and we really champion each other’s businesses,” said Michelle.

She added: “I really wasn’t expecting to get into the regional finals in one category, let alone being independently voted for by the judges to be put into the best newcomer too.”

Amber Cox, from Ambers Bakes and Cakes in Brampton, is up for the ‘best cake designer’ with her breath-taking wedding cakes catching the eyes of the judges.

The Hunts Post:

Amber is a well-established wedding cake designer, with this being her second year of being a regional finalist.

Piggy Rose Beauty in Huntingdon has been nominated as ‘best make-up artist’ in the east of England in her first year of entering the awards.

Proud owner Becca Suckling, whose salon is based within the town centre, said: “We love being in the heart of Huntingdon at Piggy Rose Beauty.

“We are lucky enough to be surrounded by so many other amazing wedding suppliers.

The Hunts Post:

“It’s great for couples to be able to shop locally from suppliers that they know and trust.”

All three ladies are heading to the regional finals at Offley Place on Tuesday November 14 to find out how they get on.
