Officers from Cambridgeshire Police have caught three men hare coursing and damaging crops in a rural Huntingdonshire village.

The Rural Crime Action Team (RCAT) responded to reports of hare coursing on Thursday, October 12, in the Warboys area.

The RCAT caught three males after they had been driving across crops and attempted to hide from officers.

Hare coursing is defined as the pursuit of hares with greyhounds and other sighthounds which chase the hares.

Hare coursing has been illegal since 2004 and is regarded by animal activist groups as animal cruelty.
