A St Neots-based engineering company's 'summer family fun day' raised nearly £400 for a local charity that helps to feed homeless people in Huntingdonshire.

More than 120 people attended the Photofab Ltd fundraiser, which was filled with fun and games including bouncy castles, hook the duck, ring toss, giant connect four and much more.

The team at Lakeside Kitchen Ltd provided catering with a barbecue, popcorn, candyfloss, doughnuts, and sweets from a traditional sweet cart.

The entire Photofab family were encouraged to bring along their nearest and dearest to join in the celebrations and they ended up with nearly 140 people all having fun in the sun.

Photofab manager, Leon Rawson, was the resident DJ, along with his fellow musician Pete Butler, and they spun the decks all day long.

Nikki Crook, marketing manager at Photofab, said: “The social team had done an exceptional job in pulling off a large event like this.

“We ended up with over 120 people attending and having fun in the fun, so I want to thank my fellow social members.

“A big feature of the day was that the Photofab family wanted to give back in some way and help a local charity, so we held a huge raffle and raised a whopping £373.

Mick Pescod and Gerard Thomas Dempsey from 3 Pillars attended the event.

Once they were told how much had been raised, Mick said: “I want to personally congratulate the Photofab social team for raising a fantastic amount of money for our charity.
