Huntingdon Grafham Water Lions Club recently supported Cornerstone Care with Confidence with a donation of £200.

The money is to help towards the provision of gift bags for participants at their six-week ante-natal courses that they run three to four times each year.

When presenting the cheque, Lions president Bernard Dable said he hoped this would help the charity to continue providing a vital service for the community of Huntingdon.

Cornerstone Care in Confidence is a pregnancy advice centre in Huntingdon which provides a confidential counselling service for those who are facing either a crisis pregnancy or who need post-abortion care.

When receiving the cheque, Georgina Forbes of Cornerstone said they were very grateful for the support of the Lions Club and that the money would be a great help towards the continuation of the services they provide.

The Huntingdon Grafham Water Lions Club are members of the International Association of Lions clubs and are a group of men and women who identify needs within their community and work together to fulfil those needs.

"We need more like-minded people to join and help us achieve these aims", said Mr Dable.
