The Bedfordshire Steam & Country Fayre is organised by the Bedford Steam Engine Preservation Society, which was formed by a few stalwart steam enthusiasts in February 1956.

It has since grown over the years into one of the largest preservation societies in the country.

Their first steam rally was at Woburn Park back in 1957.

The society hosts several annual events, including a road run, a steam apprentice driving weekend and, its main event, the Bedfordshire Steam & Country Fayre.

They also hold a dinner and dance in November.

The society also gives support and guidance to members who run their own smaller events.

Advanced admission to the show costs £17 for adults or £20 on the gate.

Under 16s receive free entry when accompanied by a paying adult.
