The team behind the St Neots Festival are taking over the town's Market Square on Saturday September 2 for a slice of family fun.

The free event, organised by Neotists, runs from 1pm to 4pm, with live music and food and drink.

St Neots-based covers band The Arcades drew a huge crowd when they headlined the Future Stage at the St Neots Festival on June 25. They’ll be opening the Micro Festival on Saturday at 1pm, setting the mood for an afternoon of "top notch entertainment".

Next up is My Girl the River, who play country songs that come straight from the heart. Singer and guitarist Kris is joined on stage by her husband Joe and daughter Ruby. They recently played to a packed crowd at Art&Soul Café, and are all set to wow audiences on the Market Square.

Headlining is Dylan and the Moon. Dylan Holloway recently performed on massive stages at the Radio 1 Big Weekend and London Pride, following his win on BBC’s talent show, Project Idol. In the final the judges described him as “such a good songwriter and producer - he’s a 100 'per center'.”

Local craft beer shop Shumë is providing a bar, along with Little Dutch Bites - a regular on the St Neots Farm and Craft Market - serving up their mini pancakes known as poffertjes.

The free Micro Festival is part of a larger Neotists Presents programme of pop-up events on the Market Square.

It follows a classical harp recital and children’s magic shows in August. On September 30,St Neots Museum is hosting a Marvellous Melodies event, spanning musical genres through the ages from Tudor times through to classical and rock’n’roll.

On October 7, Django's Tiger play swinging gypsy jazz from the 1920s to the 2020s. Finally, on October 21, Charles Court Opera performs music from Gilbert and Sullivan, grand opera, musicals and more.
