Huntingdon Boat Club's Daniel Grant has finished first and second place in his individual races at the Peterborough Summer Regatta.

The sculler raced in the 1,000-metre and the 500-metre events across the weekend of August 12-13.

Eight crews were entered on the long course over two heats, needing to come first or second to make it into the final.

Grant won his heat, then went on to win the final, beating Gloucester Rowing Club to first place.

the 500-metre race was a straight final, with Grant losing out to a St Ives sculler by point one of a second.
