Two men have been charged with theft from a shop after a pressure washer and other goods taken from a Lidl store were found inside a stolen vehicle.

Cambridgeshire Police recovered the vehicle in St Neots on July 28 and, "to the team's surprise", they found stolen items from Lidl inside too.

The two suspects found in the vehicle were both "swiftly" arrested.

A spokesperson from Cambridgeshire Constabulary said: "Matthew Douglas, 33, of Crest Drive, Fenstanton, Huntingdon, was charged with theft from a shop.

"David Wick, 33, of Hooley Place, Papworth Everard, Cambridge, was charged with theft from a shop, possessing class B/C drugs, driving without a licence, driving without insurance and handling stolen goods.
