A new independent vets practice has opened its doors in Huntingdonshire after securing a funding package.

Waterside Vets, in St Neots, celebrated its opening by welcoming local businesses and customers, plus some furry friends, to an official launch.

The new centre is owned Paddy Scopes and Rosie Basto, who have long set their sights on having their own practice after almost a decade working as a veterinarian and veterinary nurse.

Owner and veterinarian Paddy Scopes said: “We’ve wanted to open our own practice for a long time, to be able to offer an alternative to the large, corporate practices that have become more common over the last few years.

“Pets are such an important part of the family, so our aim is to offer a really personalised and caring service for the pets and their owners.

“The team at NatWest have been so supportive in getting us to the stage where we are open and welcoming customers.”

Waterside Vet' services include neutering, vaccinations and pet health checks, and the owners aim to expand the range of treatments on offer as the business grows.
