Local theatre group Pocket Productions will perform an original family musical on a fully-rotating stage at Peppercorns Academy in St Neots on June 2 and 3.
Inspired by the nonsensical poem by Edward Lear, 'The Owl and the Pussycat' is written locally by Rowan Alfred and Peter Crussell.
Cast member Kathryn Duncan said: "Join the cast and their fully rotating stage as they transport you to a magical world of pea green boats, singing bong trees, and cursed runcible spoons; where piggies are pirates, poultry is fully ordained, and a relationship between an owl and a pussycat is quite the scandal.
"Full of irresistibly larger than life characters, the show is suitable for all ages with a clever, witty script that will be enjoyed by adults and children alike."
Teasing the story, she added: "‘The Owl and the Pussycat went to sea in a beautiful pea green boat. They took honey and money, wrapped up in a five pound note’.
"How did they meet? Why did they go to sea? Why out of every colour would you choose pea?"
