More than 700 people in Ramsey came together on Bank Holiday Monday (May 8) to revel in Ramsey Neighbourhoods Trust's (RNT) "wonderful" Coronation Street Party.

The street party was initially scheduled to be held on Great Whyte, but due to the weather forecast, it was moved inside to the drill hall at the 1940s Camp to afford people cover and encourage even more attendees.

Whilst RNT helped coordinate the event, Val said they couldn't have done it without help from the 1940s committee allowing the use of the venue, The Ramsey Rotary Club setting everything up and packing it away, and the funding provided by Ramsey Town Council.

"I think it's just everyone pulling together really that makes it such a success," added Val.
