Thongsley Fields Primary and Buckden CE Primary School have qualified for the County Netball finals after triumphing at the Hunts School Sports Partnership's (HSSP) Bee Netball competition.

More than 75 children in Years 5 and 6 from seven Huntingdonshire schools played in the netball competition at Hinchingbrooke School on May 2, with Thongsley defeating Buckden in the final.

Eleven teams were initially split into two groups, with each team playing every other team in their group.

The event was also supported by four Year 9 Sports Leaders from Hinchingbrooke School, who ably umpired every match with "growing confidence".
