‘Wrong Place Wrong Time’ and ‘The World’s Worst Children’ are this week’s adult and children’s book of the week.

‘Wrong Place Wrong Time’ by Jacqui Howchin

Can you stop a murder when it’s already happened?

Jen is waiting by the window late at night for her 18-year-old son Toby to get home. As she looks out into the dark street, she spots Toby in an argument with an older man and then, watches in horror as her beautiful young son stabs the other man.

She knows that if he is charged with murder his life will be over but there seems little that she can do to halt the wheels of justice.

She falls asleep in the depths of despair and then when she wakes in the morning it is the day before the murder and suddenly there is hope again to change the awful outcome.

As her life begins to unravel backwards, secrets and lies are discovered and no one seems to be the person she thought they were.

‘Wrong Place, Wrong Time’ is a fascinating and truly original addictive thriller.

‘The World’s Worst Children’ by Hayley Ralls

At last the wait is over and David Walliam’s hilarious book is now out in paperback!

Windy Mindy, who likes to eat lots of different foods to make her bottom burp, Dribbling Drew and his chaotic adventure to the Natural History Museum and Sofia Sofa who spends so much time on the sofa that she could be mistaken for one are just a few of the mischievous and ghastly characters who are brought to life with David Walliam’s amusing tales.

This is perfect for those reluctant readers who don’t want to tackle a whole book in one go but will laugh out loud at these perfect short stories.
