Commuters prepare for rail strikes - Cambridgeshire updates

Network Rail & Great Northern 

Both rail services warn that there will be significant disruption across large parts of the rail network from February 1 -3 due to industrial action. 

📢 National industrial action is taking place on 1 & 3 February, NO trains will run on these days.

On 2 & 4 February, our trains will only start after 07:00, with some stations starting much later than this. Make sure you plan ahead.

A1 - Buckden

Slow moving traffic around the Buckden area.

A428 - St Neots

Slow moving traffic near St Neots and eastbound towards Caxton Gibbet.

A47 - Peterborough

Slow traffic heading westbound on the Soke Parkway.

A1101 Elm High Road - Wisbech

Slow moving traffic in the area. Delays are likely.

North Brink/South Brink - Wisbech

Roadworks are in place in the North Brink and South Brink area.

A10 - Waterbeach

Slow traffic between Denny End Road and Car Dyke Road due to ongoing works.

A142 - Stuntney

Slow moving traffic on Soham Road between Stuntney and Ely.

St Peters Road - Huntingdon

Temporary traffic lights in place due to works by Anglian Water.

B1187 Gull Road - Guyhirn 

This road will be closed to all motor vehicles both ways until February 17 for works. 

Marshall’s Bank and Harold’s Bridge – Parson Drove       

These roads will be closed both ways to all motor vehicles until March 3 due to works by Anglian Water. 

Ashwell Street – Steeple Morden  

The road will be closed both ways to all motor vehicles between February 1-3 due to works by Cambridge Water.  

Toll Drove – Chatteris 

This road will be closed both ways to all motor vehicles on February 3 between 9.30am and 3.30pm due to works by Openreach.  

B1093 Cemetery Road – Whittlesey 

This road will be closed to all motor vehicles on February 5 between 7am and 6pm due to works by Anglian Water. 

Bona Lane – Gorefield 

The road will be closed both ways to all motor vehicles between February 6-8 due to works by Anglian Water. 

B1050 Station Road – Willingham 

This road will be closed both ways to all motor vehicles between February 6-10 between 7.30am and 6.30pm daily for works. 

Newmarket Road – Fordham 

This road will be closed both ways to all motor vehicles between February 6-10 due to works by Anglian Water. 

Bridge Street - Cambridge  

The road is closed to all motor vehicles overnight until February 21 from 10pm to 6am due to nightly works.
