A former priest, who served in St Neots and Peterborough, is facing trial for historic child abuse offences.

Dennis Finbow is currently on trial a Huntingdon Law Courts and faces six counts of indecently assaulting a boy and girl aged between 10 and 13 in the 1980s.

The 74-year-old, of Martlesham, Suffolk, denies all the charges against him.

Mr Finbow is retired and has not been active in the ministry since 2001, according to a statement released by the Bishop of East Anglia, the Rt Rev Alan Hopes, who spoke after Mr Finbow's arrest in 2022.

Prior to his retirement he had served in parishes in Peterborough and St Neots.
