Local store owner, Daryl Williams, has donated over £1,500 of Nintendo products to Great Ormond Street Hospital.
On December 22, Daryl, owner of Ramsey-based business Game Swap Shop UK, donated a Nintendo Switch, two Nintendo Switch Lites and several games to the charity’s headquarters in London.
This donation marks the third annual fundraiser held each year at Christmas for the hospital.
Daryl said: “I don’t actually have a direct connection to the hospital but I have a 12-year-old son.
“The thought of children in hospital makes me sad, if any kids deserve new consoles and video game, it’s them.”
£950 of the £1,500 was raised by a fundraiser for the donation, the rest of the value was made up by donations sent to Daryl including several games and a Mario Kart Live Home Circuit.
Daryl hopes to further his charity to children’s hospitals across the UK.
He added: “Thank you, it genuinely means the world to the kids who spend too much time in hospital and their parents too.”
