CARESCO foodbank in Sawtry has received a “haul of festive treats” from Mindray to support the foodbank’s Christmas appeal.

The donation from the medical device development company means the foodbank can give those receiving food parcels this year some extra festive treats, from chocolate snowmen and selection boxes to biscuits and Christmas puddings.

The donation comes at a good time, CARESCO is expecting to make 66 parcels for 235 people in and around Sawtry and Huntingdon; a seven per cent increase on last year.

Mindray’s UK general manager, Lei Su, said: “With so many households facing a very tough winter, Mindray is proud to support CARESCO’s Christmas appeal.”

Fundraising manager for CARESCO, Jacqui Hedington, added: “I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at Mindray for their fantastic support of our Christmas Appeal.

The families and households we support are facing extremely tough situations so we're very grateful we can give them a little extra for Christmas.”
