The Rotary Club of St Neots have made a £2,000 donation to the Revamp the Ramp project helping to kick total fundraising above £10,000.

The donation will enable Revamp the Ramp to "inch closer" to its goal of getting the St Neots Skatepark in Riverside resurfaced and up to competition standard.

A spokesperson for Revamp the Ramp said: "Yesterday (December 12), we presented our cause to The Rotary Club of St Neots and at the end of our pitch we were presented with a cheque of £2000.

"This is not only another step forward, but it kicks our total fundraising above 10k which now enables our application to Sport England for match funding of another 10k.

"The wheels are still turning, and we hope to have more news for everyone soon."

Rotary Club President Mike Kingdon presented the cheque to Revamp the Ramp director Sam Curtin and chairman Chris Hatch which will push the project closer to its £100,000 target.

The money will be used for refurbishment and ongoing maintenance costs to ensure young people can continue to enjoy the facility for many years to come.
