Thousands flock to the St Neots Christmas Lights Switch-on

There was a day of spectacular live entertainment leading up to the switch-on with choirs, dance acts and singers all performing on stage in the Market Square.

The Christmas fun started from 12pm on November 27 and also featured a fun fair, Christmas Market, stilt walkers and Santa's grotto.

Following the switch-on, there was a spectacular fireworks display which lit up the sky and live music from headline acts Andrew Bourn, the Soul Sisters and the Collaboration Choir.

Mayor of St Neots, Cllr Ben Pitt, said: "It was a joy to see the people of St Neots in their thousands to celebrate the beginning of the festive period.

After a couple of COVID scarred Christmases (while I was Mayor) it was wonderful to see the St Neots Christmas Lights Event back to full strength last night. Well done @stneotscouncil - it felt as if the whole town was there last night. 🌲🎄🎅🏻🤶🎅🏻🧑‍🎄 pic.twitter.com/kH6nkHKqqY
