We are delighted to announce that our studio doors will be open on Saturday, December 10 for listeners, visitors, families and friends to join us for our open day.

You are very welcome to pop along on the day to the Saxongate Building in Bradbury Place, in Huntingdon, from 10am to meet our presenters and volunteers and have a look around our studios.

The Hunts Post:

You will be able to observe some of our presenters on air as they broadcast. We will also be recording your Christmas messages in our production studio for your family and friends and these short recordings will be played on air during our shows up to Christmas.

The event will will finish at 4pm so there is a window of six hours when you can visit. You will be escorted to our studios and be greeted by our volunteers. All are welcome, and the lift will be available for those who cannot manage the stairs.

So come along, enjoy a mince pie and record your message! There is also a facility available right now on our website where you can record a message for playing on air. Go to: www.hcrfm.co.uk/on-air/christmas-messages/ (Please note – recordings may be edited before broadcast and we cannot guarantee that all recordings will be played or at what time they will will be aired).

We’re looking forward to seeing you!

Another chance to say 'hello' will be on Friday, November 25, when we will be at the switch on of Huntingdon’s Christmas lights, marking the start of the three-day Christmas Market, so come along and join in the fun!

Our Christmas programming is under way and most shows will be as normal, but with a Christmas flavour. In addition, there will be a ’radio panto’ produced by Wavelengths Productions under the direction of Sue Rodwell Smith.

In addition, it is hoped to broadcast the Christmas Eve Midnight Communion from one of the local churches in our community and of course on Christmas Day, we very much hope that the King will continue that great British tradition of speaking to the nation, as his mother did before him.

We wish all our listeners, volunteers and all who support us, a very merry Christmas and a peaceful new year.
