A man has died after being hit by a train. 

Paramedics and officers from British Transport Police were called to St Neots railway station on November 12 after reports of a casualty on the track. 

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: "Officers were called to St Neots station at 3.04pm on Saturday, November 12 following reports of a casualty on the tracks. 

“Sadly, a man was pronounced dead at the scene.” 

British Transport Police said the incident is not being treated as suspicious. 

The spokesperson added: “A file will be prepared for the coroner.” 

Paramedics from the East of England Ambulance Service (EoE) also attended St Neots rail station. 

An EoE spokesperson said: “Two ambulances and an ambulance officer vehicle were sent to St Neots station following reports that a man had been struck by a train. 

“Sadly, despite the best efforts of all at the scene, the patient had died at the scene.”
