This year’s milder weather seems to have kept carp out feeding in the waters this autumn as local anglers continue catching carp.
Mickey Bartlett of St Ives Tackle went out on a social fishing event over at Skylark Lakes near Wimblington.
For such an endeavour, Mickey was rewarded with a Mirror weighing in at 16lb.
A sticky baits krill 16mm pop-up fished over a handful of krill-free offerings proved a reliable tactic yet again.
Paul Marriott saw similar success using the sticky baits krill active wafters over a few freebies at Syndicate Lake in Sawtry.
Paul managed to land two Common carp, one weighing in at 22lb and 29lb 15oz, a new personal best.
