Beacon Wealth Management have donated £10,311.84 to their Charity of the Year, Sue Ryder's St John's Hospice in Moggerhanger.

Staff at Beacon, who work in offices in St Neots, St Ives and Kimbolton, voted for Sue Ryder to be their Charity of the Year as it is a cause close to many of their hearts.

The team auctioned off a ‘Duvet Day’ to staff, ran in 10km and half marathon events, and through October, they tallied up 1120.7 miles by walking the figurative distance from Windsor Castle to Buckingham Palace, to Sandringham, to Balmoral Castle and back to Windsor Castle in honour of the late Queen Elizabeth II whilst fundraising.

Sue Ryder’s Community Fundraiser, Nick Burr, said they were "so grateful".

"This donation could fund 491 hours of expert and compassionate care from our doctors and nurses to a patient and their loved ones," said Nick.

Sue Ryder provide hospice care for people facing frightening and life-changing diagnoses.

Beacon Managing Director, Tony Larkins, added: “We have always been active in supporting charities, but we are particularly proud of our dedicated efforts to Sue Ryders Moggerhanger Hospice, as it’s a charity dear to many of us.

"A huge well done to the team and everyone involved.”
