Employers encouraged to Take A Stand
A GRANT of 6,000 is up for grabs to be shared among firms who want to provide or improve worksite cycle facilities, such as cycle stands and shelters.
It is the eighth year that the Cambridgeshire Travel for Work Partnership has run its 'Take a Stand' scheme which advises companies on quality stands that cyclists want to use, encouraging them to cycle to work more often. Employers who can tie in their proposals with travel plans that promote all forms of sustainable transport are likely to see particularly good results. Not only do these measures help reduce congestion but they also have great health benefits too.
