HUNTINGDON MP Jonathan Djanogly on Friday opened a 1m state-of-the-art ink manufacturing plant at the headquarters of Linx Printing Technologies in St Ives.
The new facility will streamline the manufacturing and dispatch operation at the factory, allowing Linx to improve delivery times for its customers across the world.
It will speed up Linx’s ability to produce made-to-order inks, cutting down changeover times between jobs.
The rebuild follows partial damage to the facility after a fire in June 2009, and the new plant has improved safety features to avoid future incidents, including a 300,000 sprinkler system.
