A LITTLE Paxton man was rescued from his burning home by a neighbour.
Two crews from St Neots, one crew from Huntingdon and one crew from Kimbolton were called to the blaze at a semi-detached house in Gordon Road at 2am on Wednesday (July 7).
Neighbours heard the smoke alarm sounding and dialled 999.
One male adult was then rescued from the ground floor of the property by a neighbour.
Firefighters arrived to find smoke and flames coming out of the first floor windows.
They tackled the large fire which affected the whole of the first floor and was in danger or spreading to the roof and the adjoining property.
Crews used two hose reels and one covering jet to control the fire and extinguish it.
They returned to base by 4.54am.
A fire investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.
