BELLA Italia came to Ramsey on Sunday, when an authentic Italian food market set up in the town centre, bringing a mouth watering array of produce.
The Mayor of Ramsey, Lisa Duffy, welcomed the traders and formally opened Italia in Piazza at The Great Whyte.
About 18 stalls sold a variety of appetising and delicious specialist Italian food, from parmigiano reggiano to prosciutto, salami, olives and specialist olive oil.
Ramsey Initiative organised the first time visit of the Italian market, and manager Vera Woolmer said: “We run the monthly country markets and bring the annual French market to the town, but an Italian market was an exciting first for Ramsey.
“Markets such as Italia in Piazza add an extra dimension to the town’s vibrancy.”
