A SPATE of arson attacks at RAF Upwood has seen emergency services called out to the derelict base half a dozen times in less than two months.
In the latest incident, firefighters from Ramsey were called to a blaze affecting wooden pallets at 11.25am yesterday. They used a hose reel to extinguish the flames.
It is thought to have been started deliberately. Between August 27 and 31 five fires were started at the base, two in disused buildings.
Police are investigating, and anyone with information should contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111, or by logging onto www.crimestoppers-uk.org
