A MAN is in hospital after a two-car crash in Woodwalton this morning (Friday).
A 24-year-old man was cut free from his blue Ford after the crash with a silver Peugeot at 8.15am, close to Lodge Farm, in Raveley Road. He was taken to Peterborough City Hospital for treatment of a broken leg.
A district nurse, who was travelling past, calmed him down whilst waiting for help.
Magpas Helimedix Dr Rod Mackenzie, Dr Fiona Bowles, and paramedic Neil Flowers, gave the man pain killers. Dr Bowles said: “If it hadn’t been for the swift actions of Magpas, the fire services and the ambulance crew on the scene, this man would have suffered severe hypothermia.”
Police closed the road in both ways to help recovery of the vehicles.
