NHS Cambridgeshire’s Huntingdon office is set to move into the district council’s headquarters next month.

The health body, which is scheduled to be disbanded in 2013, has been given notice by Huntingdonshire Regional College to quit its current offices on the California Road campus when the lease expires at the end of March.

Cost-cutting by Huntingdonshire District Council has released space in its new 17million Pathfinder House headquarters, and NHS staff will move to accommodation above HDC’s ‘civic suite’ (council chamber) in April.

Councillor Jonathan Gray, executive councillor for resources, said: “It is our long-term aspiration to make use of any space we have in our buildings by renting them out. This will help keep our running costs as low as possible so we can continue to allocate the resources we need to deliver the best services to our residents.”
