STUDENTS have given Huntingdon’s MS Therapy Centre a makeover after choosing it as part of a Prince’s Trust programme.
A group of 14 unemployed students aged 16 to 25 have transformed the Mayfield Road building, which offers treatment for people suffering from a range of muscular and neurological problems.
They have created a mural, painted a container, levelled and laid a patio area, and moved and repaired a greenhouse.
They raised the money for the refurbishment through a cake sale, Guitar Hero challenge and a sponsored walk through the snow from Cambridge Regional College to Waterbeach and back again.
The 12-week Prince’s Trust scheme is designed to get young people back into full-time employment and includes three weeks where the students identify and complete a project to benefit the community.
Jayne Drury, assistant team leader, said: “The project is great for the students, the Prince’s Trust and of course, the MS Therapy Centre.”
