The second series of the BBC’s sumptuous period drama sees the inhabitants of 165 Eaton Place facing another world war.
Upstairs Downstairs Series 2
Cert. 12
THE second series of the BBC period drama, Upstairs Downstairs, will finally be available on DVD from next week.
Change is afoot, as we return to 165 Eaton Place with Britain on the brink of another world war.
Lady Agnes and Sir Hallam’s seemingly perfect relationship is threatened by the return of the headstrong Lady Persie, who had to be flown out of Germany as Hitler began to take hold.
Downstairs sees the arrival of their own femme fatale, in the shape of a new scullery maid, whose dreams are soon to be dashed by the onset of WW2.
Will number 165 be able to keep running as usual while London collapses around them?
