RAIL lines were closed following the death of a person who was hit by a train in St Neots.
British Transport Police officers attended the line close to St Neots station at 10.30am today (Friday, November 30) after a report of a body on the line.
Paramedics and police attended but the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
They are now trying to establish the identity of the person and inform their next of kin.
Trains were being terminated at Biggleswade but National Rail says all lines have now reopened apart from one. There is still ongoing disruption to rail services.
