ANIMAL RESCUE: IT wasn’t just people that were caught out by the heavy rain on Saturday night but also a herd of alpacas who found themselves chest deep in water as flood water replaced the snow that had covered Huntingdonshire for almost two weeks.

Firefighters were called to Wistow House, in Bridge Street, Wistow, on Sunday to rescue six alpacas that had become stuck in water up to their chest.
The service’s in-water rescue team attended at 8.15am to help the stranded animals. Crews were back at base by 10.35am.
