A MOTHER and daughter were taken to hospital after a fire gutted their flat in St Ives.
Firefighters were called to the first floor flat above the Post Office and Flaming Wok in Ramsey Road at 11.35pm last night (Monday).
A woman in her 30s and a toddler were out of the flat before fire crews from Huntingdon and St Ives arrived. They were taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital for smoke inhalation as a precaution.
The fire was under control by 12.07am this morning.
A fire investigator will be visiting the flat today to determine the cause of the fire.
