MASKED men held up a Cambridge bookies at gun and knife-point on Wednesday (August 14) in a “terrifying” raid.
Two men ran into the Coral in High Street, Chesterton, at 9pm and threatened staff with a handgun and a machete.
One of the robbers ordered two customers to lie on the floor while his accomplice told a cashier to hand over money from the till.
Pc Dave Hall said: “This was a terrifying incident for the members of staff and customers who were in fear for their life.
“We are keen to speak to anyone who has any information about the robbery and also need to trace the two customers who were in the shop as they could be key witnesses.”
INFORMATION: Anyone with any information should call Pc Hall on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
