Huntingdon’s town clerk Karen Cameron has left the role after 12 years. A statement from the town council last Wednesday (April 2), said she had decided to leave “to pursue other interests”.

Mayor Bill Hensley said: “For the last six months we have run a staffing review anyway, which has nothing to do with Karen’s departure. That review is still in progress and we will look to publish the results in the coming month.”

The acting town clerk is Philip Peacock, who had previously been deputy, added Cllr Hensley.
