A woman has been hit by a lorry in Huntingdon yesterday afternoon (Wednesday).
The 63-year-old pedestrian, from Huntingdon, was seriously injured in the collision in St Peter’s Road at about 1.11pm.
A spokesman for East of England Ambulance Service said: “The woman sustained serious injuries and following treatment and stabilisation by paramedics and the Magpas critical care team, she was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, for further care.”
Magpas Helimedix said the woman was in a critical condition when she arrived at hospital.
Police said on Thursday morning, she was in a critical, but stable, condition.
Officers blocked the road between the Towerfields roundabout and Redwongs Way and motorists were warned the closure may by in place for some time.
