An 18-year-old has been arrested in connection with an aggravated burglary in Eynesbury yesterday morning (Tuesday).
The man, from St Neots, was arrested late last night on suspicion of aggravated burglary and is currently in custody at Thorpe Wood Police Station, Peterborough.
The arrest comes after a masked man, said to be holding a fake handgun, forced his way into a home in Parker Close just before 7.15am.
A woman, in her 40s, was forced to the floor as the man demanded money.
He left empty handed, sparking a police hunt, with armed officers and dogs leading the search.
The nearby Apricot Day Nursery was locked down for about an hour at both its sites at Longsands College and Priory Park Infant School, in Almond Road.
