A man was killed after being struck by a train at St Neots station.
The East of England Ambulance Service were called at 8.32pm yesterday (June 9), and sent an ambulance, an ambulance officer and an air ambulance crew in a rapid response vehicle. The man – who is believed to be in his 20s and from the local area – was pronounced dead at the scene.
British Transport Police confirmed that they attended alongside officers from Cambridgeshire Police.
A spokesman for BTP said: “The incident is currently being treated as non-suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
“The man’s family have been informed.”
The line was handed back to Network Rail at 10.03pm.
