Families, friends, and neighbours gathered together for a music festival and reunion at Coneygear Park in Huntingdon.
On Saturday (August 16), an estimated 1,500 to 2,000 people turned out to enjoy live bands and activities including a bouncy castle, magician, football challenge and face painting.
Organised by the Oxmoor Community Action Group (OCAG) with support from We Grew Up On the Oxmoor, the event raised £313.54 for the Woodlands Cancer Centre at Hinchingbrooke Hospital. OCAG will make up the difference and donate £400 in total to the cause.
Jill Watkin-Tavener, chairman of OCAG, said: “It was brilliant, it really was. There were quite a number of people that came over as a reunion to catch up with people they had been at school with or who just used to be neighbours.
“The fact that we have got £400 for Woodlands really did make the day.”
