Chantel McGregor, pictured right, has been impressing with her musical ability since the tender age of 14.

And it’s not only her voice that has caused a stir, it’s the way that McGregor plays guitar. It’s been described as mixing the playing styles of Robin Trower, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Joe Bonamassa.

The rock and blues musician, who graduated from Leeds College of Music, was in 2013 voted Guitarist of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year – in fact she’s won four awards in the last three years. She has also featured on BBC Radio 2.

Supported by the award-winning blues trio Absolution, McGregor will be playing at Newmarket Memorial Hall on Saturday, December 6, as part of Cambridge Rock Festival’s Christmas event.

The Hunts Post has a pair of tickets for the gig to give away.
