Singers from across St Neots have come together to record a version of the Band Aid 30 hit charity single Do They Know It’s Christmas?
Langdale Dance Arts event co-ordinator James May came up with the idea to bring people together to join the fight against ebola.
He said: “Sometimes people just don’t connect to celebrities. It’s all well and good selling the single, that’s fantastic, but do people really think about the bigger message?
“It’s not just ebola, it’s showing people that we are stronger and better together.”
After an appeal for people to join in with the recording, singers from a variety of backgrounds met at the Bargroves Centre on Sunday (November 23), where the recording studio kit and technical support was provided for free.
A whole host of amateur and professional performers from across St Neots, Huntingdon and Cambridge took part.
The song and music video was being edited and was due to be available on www.langdaledancearts.co.uk and via the group’s Facebook page.
