This year’s St Ives Book Jam is building up to be the biggest yet, thanks to help from sponsor Mick George Ltd.
The Huntingdonshire-based firm has provided £3,000 towards the annual festival, celebrating children’s reading and writing.
A cheque was handed over to Ros Pascoe, one of the organisers, in front of the event venue – St Ives Corn Exchange.
The fun gets underway from 9.30am on Saturday, May 9 and activities include free workshops with children’s authors and illustrators, badge making, a colouring corner, a soft-play area and much more.
There will also be a visit from Bumble Book Jam and Mick The Skip, as well as Paddington Bear and The Gruffalo.
Entry is free. To book a place on a workshop or for more information about times, call Ros Pascoe on 01480 467094 or visit www.stivesbookjam.com.
