A butcher from Huntingdon formed part of a three-man team which competed at the International Young Butcher Competition.
Chris Riley, 22, assistant manager at Walter Smith butchers, based in the Wyevale Garden Centre, joined Peter Rushforth and George Parker representing the UK at the championships, which took place in the Netherlands on September 22.
The competition was won by the Swiss team, with French butcher Lucas Bayle winning the individual prize.
As well as the UK, teams from Austria, Germany, Holland, Luxembourg, and Switzerland also competed.
The competition, for butchers aged from 18 to 23, tested a range of skills from boning, manufacturing a stuffed roast, creating a barbecue, and offering and preparing a main course with meat.
