Arsonists set fire to a pile of rubbish in Huntingdon in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday).
Firefighters from Huntingdon were called to a field off California Road shortly after 1am following reports that a pile of rubbish was ablaze.
A spokesman for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “The fire involving rubbish was extinguished using jets and firefighters returned to station by 1.45am.”
An investigation revealed that the cause of the fire was deliberate.
