Officers were called to a property in Common Lane after reports that a patio door had been forced open and a search of the house carried out by burglars.
A spokesman for Cambridgeshire police said: “Between 4.15pm and 5pm offenders have gained entry to the property via the rear patio door and made a search of the house targeting jewellery items.
“We are looking to identify a male who was seen in the area and is described as 5ft 8, medium build with black hair and wearing a blue/grey track suit top with the hood up, jeans & trainers.”
