Hundreds of pounds was raised for charity thanks to a car wash event at St Ives Fire Station.
A team of firefighters and a band of willing volunteers were on hand throughout last Saturday (April 16) to wash mucky motors and raise awareness of the work that the on-call fire crew does in the town and surrounding villages.
Money raised on the day totalled more than £300, which will be donated to the Firefighters Charity.
A spokesman for the fire service said: “We would like to thank the community for their support in helping us raise such a fantastic total.”
