A new entrance path was officially opened at Hinchingbrooke Country Park, in Huntingdon, last Wednesday.
The chairman of Huntingdonshire District Council, Councillor Peter Bucknell, and the chairman of the Friends of Hinchingbrooke Country Park, David Thorogood jointly cut the ribbon to mark the occasion.
The improvement to the Glades entrance path was funded by The Friends of Hinchingbrooke Country Park and the improvements to Pine Avenue, which included re-seeding and tree work, was funded by the council’s countryside service.
Mr Thorogood, said: “Almost every winter for the last 10 years, the Glades entrance has been so muddy and has deterred people from it. The Friends of Hinchingbrooke Country Park are very pleased and proud to be able to fund path improvements at this entrance and support the Park”.
Following the ceremony, the guests were invited to see an art exhibition in the Countryside Centre at Hinchingbrooke Country Park which has a variety of work themed
